what i actually do
I keep large codebases from falling over, and I build the tools other engineers use to keep them from falling over. Java monoliths, CI pipelines, AWS bills, the deploy button. The unglamorous middle of the stack.
Right now that means HYROS — an ad-tracking and attribution platform — through Ensolvers, since Nov 2025. Architecture team. 80+ engineers, one million-plus lines of Java 21 / Spring Boot across forty modules. I own the build and test tooling, the CI, and a fair chunk of the AWS underneath it. I built the internal DevOps platform (NestJS, React) from nothing; it is now where the team deploys, watches pipelines and argues about flaky tests. Also shipped an AI code-review agent and a flaky-test detector, and killed the manual Jenkins release ritual.
before that
- Lazo · Mar–Oct 2025 — AI-augmented ops startup. Made a desktop-only React app (200+ components, 100k LoC) responsive in six weeks. Full i18n on a Next.js app in two. Microservices that read legal documents so nobody else has to.
- Nue.life · Jul 2024–Feb 2025 — telemedicine. Held a 200k-line codebase alone for eight months, 40+ releases, Java 17→21, Spring 2.7→3.4. Cut load times ~70%. Nobody noticed, which is the point.
- Hirelens · Sep 2023–Jun 2024 — recruiting, LLM-flavoured. CV screening and interview-analysis pipelines. RAG, embeddings, Pinecone, back when that was a personality.
- Modu LLC · 2023 — intern. E-commerce. Four people. React and Firebase.

- mullvadcheck — ranks Mullvad relays from wherever you are by actually probing them, not by trusting the list. Go.
- WCLive — a macOS menu bar dot that shows the World Cup score. Swift. Roughly 200 lines and a month of relevance.
- Small browser extensions: incognito-lite (drops pages from history while on), Only Audio (YouTube without the video), pip-portal, a Zen→Obsidian exporter. Each one exists because I was annoyed on a specific Tuesday.
- aish — a shell where normal lines run in zsh and lines starting with
-go to a model. It is thirty lines of idea and it works. - preql — a whole database language that uses SQL's own acronym. Go. Built so I'd never have to write another
SELECTand nobody would know better. - gocode — collaborative code editing, in Go. Yes, named for Go and code. Yes, the pun was half the point.
- rlox / jlox — the Lox interpreter from Crafting Interpreters, written twice, once in Rust and once in Java, to count as two different regrets.
- kamotaketsunominokamo — a SAT-based nonogram solver named after the octopus from that Ghibli movie. Solves pictures with brute force and a smile.
- MIPS-Pacman — Pac-Man in MIPS assembly, running on MARS. Roughly eighty registers of ghost AI. Eat the dots, learn the ABI.
- wl-lapses — timelapses for Wayland, because the screenshot was never going to be enough.
things that are finished and were never launched
This is the honest section. Everything below is code-complete, tested, and sitting on a disk in Aragua. The blocker is never the code. It is buying a domain and finding a payment processor that will speak to a Venezuelan.
- SenderGrade — SPF/DKIM/DMARC/MTA-STS/BIMI auditing, evaluated the way a receiving mail server actually evaluates it. 42 tests green. Ships to Cloudflare Workers. Has a research study attached about the Tranco top 1,000. Domain: unbought.
- TagProof — loads a site three times (untouched, after reject, after accept) and decodes what each ad vendor was really told about consent. 133 tests. Must run from an EU IP, because consent banners do not appear for the rest of us. That sentence is the whole architecture.
- Tepuy — AI review on every pull request, self-hosted or managed, bring your own key. Named after the flat-topped mountains in the Gran Sabana that see everything below.
- GenCV — an evidence-backed career compiler. Imports your career, extracts claims with provenance, compiles only the ones you approved into a targeted CV. Built it, then wrote my own CV in Typst by hand anyway.
- RepoRelay, PermitPulse, listo-bot (a WhatsApp bot that runs a pizzeria), Costeo (recipe costing for people whose currency changes weekly).
Running total: nine or so, plus a few from GitHub. I am aware. It is a known issue.
things i did for no reason
- 3satpnp — a falsification-first lab for SAT experiments. The README opens by stating that it does not prove P = NP, because that is the only responsible way to open a repository with that name. It is built to make me wrong faster.
- math/ — three open 2026 problems: arrow-pattern avoidance in permutations, the CRIM game on integer partitions, and square-free subgraphs of Q₇. Notebooks, tests, sources. No results yet. Possibly ever.
- One — a statically typed, contract-heavy language designed to be written by models and repaired by them. Go bootstrap: lexer, parser, AST, formatter. Stopped at v0.1, as one does.
tools, if you must
Java, TypeScript, Python, Go, SQL. Rust, Kotlin and Haskell when nobody is watching. Spring Boot, NestJS, React, Next.js. AWS — Lambda, ECS, CodeBuild, S3/CloudFront, CloudWatch. Terraform. Docker. Kafka, MySQL, Redis, OpenSearch. JUnit, Playwright, JaCoCo, SonarQube. Neovim, obviously.
